Well, in Kingdom Hearts, there are creature called "Heartless"
like the name, it's a thing without heart
And, the weapon Sora use is a keyblade(it's the key king Mickey ask to search)
The keyblade can kill the heartless
Sora once use his keyblade to stab himself, because he wanted to released Kairi's heart from his body
(Sora's got 2 best friends, Kairi and Riku. And, so likes Kairi^^, Riku is his biggest rival and his best friend, but he was consumed by darkness)
Once Sora released Kairi's heart, he lost his body and mind and turn into a heartless.
This is what happen in Kingdom Hearts in the first series^^
Then, why there is Roxas, Sora's nobody?
Roxas is created while Sora become a heartless, Roxas got the same power of Sora, to wield a keyblade but he got no memory, and no heart.

And, about Sora is sleeping..
He is in state to recover back his memories
Because some of his memories is a false memories and he lost some of his memories. This happens in KH:Chain of Memories

Roxas is an unique oneXDXDXD

But the story is serious for online games to
the main story is, haseo wanted to rescue a girl named Shino
Shino become coma in the real world because she got PK in the game

but they make the player to use Roxas since Roxas is Sora's nobody^^
